Everybody 03:11
In this trench you and I. Two honeys in the mud that was left behind. Overwhelmed by the sky. Lick your wounds and wave goodbye. Everybody will burn. Everybody will take their turn. Everybody will learn that's how it is and always will be. mm - ah - ah - la - la - la - la Too much force, too much fright. Throw yourself at anything money can buy. Oh the weight of success. Haven't seen any changes yet. But we're floating in the darkness all alone. It's so safe in the womb of the unknown. mm - ah - ah - la - la - la - la

Sail Away 04:44
You led me to water but it's the ocean and I can't drink, no I can't drink, of this water But I can sail away, sail away, sail away. I can sail away, sail away. I can change. I walk like an elephant on a tightrope. I fall and you find I'm far away. Find me and let's sail away, sail away, sail away. Sail away, sail away. You can change. Oh but humans we rely on our past like the nail looks to the hammer for purpose. And sometimes I wish I was nothing more than this moment. So we could be so much more than we were. We could sail away, sail away, sail away. We could sail away, sail away We could change.

We Made Out. We Made Out Alright. And I don't care what you've done. I don't care what you do. I don't care where this goes. Now is all I ask of you. We Made Out. We Made Out Alright. I don't care why you want this. I don't care what it means. All I want from you is a moment free of all you'll someday ask of me. So lay yourself down. Let the ceiling be our ground. Let it go, let it lie. Let alone sea we sail tonight. 'Cause I don't care what you've done I don't care what you do. I don't care where this goes. Now is all I ask of you. I don't care why you want this. I don't care what it means. All I want from you is a moment free of all you'll someday ask of me. We Made Out. We Made Out Alright.

When time is like a child sitting on your chest playing recklessly with moments you have left. And the sand gets in your eyes, in your ears and your teeth. It's an aggrievance, not the beauty of the beach. Well, know I'm here with open arms. I'll be here as long as you want. If the world won't bend to your will If the world won't bend to your will, baby I will. If the world won't bend to your will, I will. When your dreams are fast asleep but your mind is wide awake it's a fine line between giving up and taking a break. And the strangers on the street they dance to a different beat and make you long for the solitude that you seek. Well know I'm here with open arms, like you've been here all along. If the world won't bend to your will If the world won't bend to your will, baby I will. If the world won't bend to your will, I will. And if silence is your friend there are no words to make it end. So you see it in my eyes I'll just whisper in my head over and over again... If the world won't bend to your will If the world won't bend to your will, baby I will. If the world won't bend to your will If the world won't bend to your will, maybe I will.

Open up your eyes an ambulance is parked outside but it's not your time, it's not your time. So you take a walk outside and you think of other nights when we were dreaming, dreaming about you never leaving. Pay attention to time you crossed the same street twice, bus coulda hit you that silver car that barely missed you. And the umbrella you left behind it's been broken a long long time but it hardly rains here in this part of California. So you stumble into a bar, singer sings hard times are gonna fall. She's tone deaf and she knows it but nobody's listening. They're listening to the sound of empty glasses sitting down, like kings and queens stripped of their blue blooded nouns. Ice melts - time for seconds, you, you eye the exit but there's no where to go when the clouds hang this low. No, there's no where to go when the clouds hang this low Telegram came today, you knew what it was gonna say so you didn't read it, don't need it, you won't believe it. And ain't that a shame, that's what they're all gonna say like the fabrics been torn where the tailor can't fix it. And the sweetest, softest whore well she's has sat here all night before. She's pretty like an old record but nobody's listening.
6.
You hung in the air like a battered piñata and I left the room like a fallen debutante. I was counting moments like guests out the door of a party I've never thrown before. If you see a race that can't be won why would turn to me and ask me to run? I'm still a broken record playing it'll all turn out right, while these pins and balloons have me pining on the inside. Summer's gonna burn me so are you. No one's got a bandaid to hide this wound. Summer's gonna burn me so are you. Someone's gonna burn me? So? La ti da La ti da... I'll write the ending to this story 'cause stuck in the middle is oh so boring. I surrender not in the name of defeat. I surrender as somebody choosing to see that... Summer's gonna burn me so are you. No one's got a bandaid to hide this wound. Summer's gonna burn me so are you. Someone's gonna burn me? So? Yeah I know you, you know me, and we know where it hurts I know you, you know me, and we know where it hurts. I know, I know. You know, you know. You know where it hurts. Summer's gonna burn me so are you. No one's got a bandaid to hide this wound. Summer's gonna burn me so are you. Someone's gonna burn me? So? La ti da La ti da...

Riverbed 03:49
Toss it out start again. Find a way change today. If not the whole wide world then in your head. Your heart is not a riverbed, a relic of all it's seen, of all that falls from its surface unintentionally. Heavy, heavy heart of mine helium's light than air and so it flies. My dear heart you're light than the rest of me. Could you rise above all that's left of me? Could you rise above all I've ever seen? Toss it out start again. Find a way change today. Toss it out start again. Find a way change today. Oh dear riverbed. Dear riverbed. Feet to the ground, hands to the sky. You could take take take, take all the space you need to fly. But this hot air balloon gets angrier than you and you've got all that you need to be the bottom of the sea. Toss it out start again. Find a way change today. Toss it out start again. Find a way change today. 'Cause where water flows it never knows 'til it gets there and there ain't no longer here. And here is the change that killed the sameness. Here it is the change that killed the sameness. Oh dear riverbed. Dear riverbed.

I like the part where we look back and know that we survived and nothing nothing nada nothing, nothing's changed except for you and I. Waves crash on the shore like they've crashed here before. A wind-up bird sputters to it's end so we wind him up all over again. That's right... I like the part where we look back and know that we survived and nothing nothing nada nothing, nothing's changed except for you and I. Questions still need answers and thoughtfulness takes time - time takes us all, no pause or rewind. That's why... I like the part where we look back and know that we survived and nothing nothing nada nothing, nothing's changed except for you and I. I'm looking out the windshield that looks toward what I left. Wondering what I'll find and when i'll look back twd that time. Singing... I like the part where we look back and know that we survived and nothing nothing nada nothing, nothing's changed except for you and I. If I worry more I'll arrive at daybreak, what a drive. If I worry less I'll arrive when the sun sets. I like the part where we look back and know that we survived and nothing nothing nada nothing, nothing's changed except for you and I.

Pot of Gold 03:41
Oh pot of gold I really don't know if the clouds will give way to a rainbow someday. I'm just here falling fast and wanting less, taking what I'm getting for granted. But there's the brighter side, that great divide. Someone whispering it will all turn out right. And you will walk in the sunshine again. So if you're lost and no one else knows the way, it's hide and seek, you don't dare peek. Well, maybe found is not what you need. And now you're wondering if your worry is nothing more than the bitter taste of time. What if the shadows of another dawn are second chances, like wishes granted. And you will walk in the sunshine again. Nah - nah - nah... You will walk in the sunshine again. Oh pot of gold I just want to know when the clouds will give way. What time and what day?

I heard you on the wireless back in Fifty Two Lying awake in bed then tuning in on you. If I was young it didn't stop you coming through They took the credit for your second symphony. Rewritten by machine and new technology, and now I understand the problems you can see. I met your children. What did you tell them? I see trees of green, red roses too. I see them bloom for me and you. And now we meet in an abandoned studio. We hear the playback and it seems so long ago. And you remember how the jingles used to go. You were the first one. You'll be the last one. Video killed the radio star. Video killed the radio star. Pictures came and broke your heart. Pictures came and broke your heart. Oh but babies cry, I watch them grow. They'll learn much more than I'll never know. And I think to myself what a wonderful world. I met your children. What did you tell them? Video killed the radio star. Video killed the radio star. In my mind and in my car, we can't rewind we've gone to far. we can't rewind we've gone to far.

about

Arrica Rose & the ...'s Let Alone Sea is the band’s much-anticipated third full-length release. Part folk, part dream-pop and vintage rock, Let Alone Sea was recorded live to analog tape then layered with Rose's sultry lead vocals, Andrew Sister-esque harmonies, strings, horns, and pretty noise. Arrica Rose coined the name The …’s (“The Dot Dot Dots”) to describe the collaborative nature of her project which evolved from a 4 piece guitar-driven band into an intricate sonic landscape including keys, mandolin, toy piano, omnichord and more.
